North Norfolk Railway – Santa Specials

SANTA SPECIALS
30th November, 1st, 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, & 20th – 24th December 2019.

Our magical Santa Special services run in the weeks before Christmas. They depart from Sheringham station and take passengers through some of Norfolk’s most beautiful winter scenery whilst the adults are served sherry and mince pies, children get a soft drink and chocolate treat.

Santa is waiting by his open fire at Santaland, ready to meet every boy and girl both young and old. Each infant (under 1 year) and child (1 year to 14 years) will receive an appropriate present for their age so please be careful when booking tickets.

After a period of time for looking around the station, passengers re-board the train for their journey back to Sheringham. With professional entertainers, quality presents and of course a ride behind a steam train, Christmas turns into a wonderful experience on the North Norfolk Railway’s unique Santa Specials.

Please note that Santa Special trains travel between Sheringham and Weybourne and return only. They do not travel to or from Holt. Passengers must travel back to Sheringham on the same train that they arrived on.

Step back in time at our annual 1940s weekend, our most popular event in the Railway calendar!

Over the years this event has attracted more and more visitors and more and more exhibitors. It is widely felt to be one of the best events of its type in the country. People who attended last year were booking accommodation before they left as they enjoyed it so much!

Come in uniform or 1940s civilian dress to add to the atmosphere. Don’t forget your gas mask and ration books!
